New Toro y Moi single & Yours Truly session

Chaz(wick) Bundick aka Toro y Moi recently recorded a studio version of “You Hid” from his debut album, Causers of This with the people over at Yours Truly. The video of which you can watch below.
I am really enjoying this version a lot. It’s pretty much a soul/r&b song and I can’t get enough of it. I’ve gained a lot of respect for Toro y Moi since seeing him at SXSW earlier this year and this performance only emboldens that respect. I’m actually pretty impressed; Bundick played every instrument on this recording himself. The guy’s got talent.
Also of note, Toro y Moi will be releasing a new single soon called “Leave Everywhere”.
I can’t wait to hear it. It will be backed with a song called “First Date”.
I’ve a feeling Toro y Moi might be moving in a new direction. Maybe. I’m not completely sure yet. However, Chaz is now playing with a full band opening for Caribou on tour this summer. The band will also be opening for Phoenix on two dates in Iowa in August. All dates can be found on Toro y Moi’s MySpace.
